Group trip along the west coast of Morocco for women
How do you imagine a trip to Morocco? Historic cities, overwhelming scents and colours, or soft sand dunes at sunset? On this group trip for women along the west coast of Morocco, we will discover many facets of a welcoming and magical country. Marrakech will be our gateway and will show us the historic and lively side of the country. We will then take time to learn about the times and spaces of Berber life. We will enjoy a unique experience in a tented camp along the beach: stars, bonfires and music will help us find harmony within the group and with ourselves.
We will test ourselves in different situations, to shake up our routine and enrich ourselves with new emotions and awareness. We will explore the area with all the resources at our disposal: from slow walks in search of a waterfall to adventurous quad bike excursions on the dunes, to evocative horse rides on the beach.
Even if you have never driven a scooter or ridden a horse, you can try out safe experiences suitable for all women who want to bring out their adventurous side.
Itinerary between Marrakech and Essaouira
Is Morocco safe for women? Our local contact is Erika, who began exploring the country on her own in 2006, fell in love with it and decided to stay. No one better than her can help us experience the local culture without fear or preconceptions.
Together with Omar, she will guide us on a journey to discover the most authentic side of Morocco, where they live, work and raise their family with passion. They will welcome us to their ranch, accompany us on excursions and put us in touch with local families who will share their lifestyle with us.

Program
Day 1: Arrival and accommodation in Marrakech
Arrival in Marrakech in time to settle into this city teeming with life, traffic, confusion, colours, smells, decorations and so much to discover. This first day will be dedicated to exploring the city and getting to know the group. Lunch is at leisure, depending on arrival time. The group will meet at sunset, over a cup of tea on the terrace of the main square, Jma el Fnaa, to review the programme, browse through the travel notebooks and introduce themselves at their leisure. We will all have dinner together in the city centre to immediately immerse ourselves in the local flavours. Overnight stay in a typical riad.

Day 2: From Marrakech to Essaouira by car, 10 km trek, campsite facing the ocean
After a delicious breakfast, we will drive to Essaouira by car, where we will have lunch on the cliffs of Ouessen. From here, we will set off on foot, assisted by our guide, along a scenic route of about 10 km consisting of rocky and sandy ups and downs.
At the village of Sidi Kaouki, we will take a refreshing break and then continue on our way to a long beach and then to the campsite. At the end of the day, we will discover what typical Berber tents are like. A camp shower awaits us, followed by a bonfire under a sea of stars and in front of the power of the sea.

Day 3: Visit to the city of Essaouira and quad bike adventure on the dunes
Waking up here , in front of the powerful and energetic Ocean is powerful and energising!
We leave the camp to visit the town of Essaouira with an official guide: the port, the ancient walls, the ramparts with cannons pointing towards the sea, the small ancient alleys. We will have lunch together in the city.
In the afternoon, we will have a few hours of free time for shopping or relaxing, alone or in company. At 4:30 p.m., our driver will take us to the Diabat Ranch, where we will enjoy a quad bike ride at sunset across the beach, the dunes and a mimosa forest. A couple of hours of fun and, for those who don't want to drive, you can ride as a passenger with another participant. Upon our return, dinner will be waiting for us at our riad, where we can relax and enjoy an evening together.

Day 4: Relaxation in Azrou
A day of relaxation and doing nothing, we will be staying in a hotel with a swimming pool, a 10-minute walk from the sea. Breakfast will be served in the morning and then everyone will be free to decide what to do.
A walk to the sea, a taxi ride to Essaouira (15 minutes) for shopping, relaxation by the pool. Erika will be at your disposal for advice and to help you do whatever you want to do.
Meals on this day are deliberately not included to allow everyone maximum freedom of choice, but Erika will be able to advise you on the best options..

Day 5: Essaouira – Iftane by car + Iftane – Sidi Mbarek Waterfalls
Today we will walk from a fishing village along the cliffs, feeling the energy of the ocean at our side. We will see animals in semi-freedom. The terrain will be varied: from rocky cliffs to golden sand dunes, passing through country roads made of ancient shells broken up by the elements..
Packed lunch organised halfway through the walk.
At the end of the walk, a half-day, a well-deserved relaxation by the pool.
Dinner at sunset at the hotel.
It will be a day where we will have time to reflect, write and imagine.

Day 6: 2-hour horse ride and return to Marrakech
This morning, our teachers will be Arabian-Berber horses. Some say that they can read your mind and bring out emotions that you had forgotten or that were well hidden. They will take us to the beach and will be patient even with those who have never ridden a horse before.This will be our way of saying goodbye to Essaouira before returning to Marrakech. A quick lunch along the way and then, once settled in the riad, we will have time to lose ourselves in the market teeming with life and artisans, either in a group or on our own. Tonight, we have chosen a special place for dinner, Les Jardin, to spend this evening together and bid farewell to this wonderful country.

Day 7 - Departure
Yes, today we leave! Our eyes will be full of beautiful experiences, our backpacks full of souvenirs and our hearts full of gratitude.
Everyone will have a different schedule: some will leave early, while others will still have time for breakfast with friends, a last stroll through the city centre or a visit to a museum. We will always be here to advise you.

Wich language we speak?
In Morocco Arabic and French are officially spoken, in the tourist areas you will find those who speak English, your companions speak Italian and English

Temperatures
Generally 15°-20° during the day and 5° at night, dressing in layers is the best solution
Luggage
During excursions, bring technical gear and winter-type Goretex walking shoes with Vibram soles, and a tracksuit to stay comfortable and warm in the evening. Dress for sightseeing in the city. A fleece and a waterproof windbreaker just in case. Slippers and large microfibre towel, medicines you usually use
Bed linen and towels
They will be present in the riads, in the bivouac you will have a blanket and sleeping bag, take a large microfibre towel
Training
The walks are easy and your companions will do what is necessary to make you feel comfortable, if during the day you want to interrupt and be taken by car upon arrival you can do so for an extra €30-40
Quad e horse
These two activities do not require particular skills or a driving licence. Your guides will provide you with safety protection and adapt the activity to your experience level
Diet
Food allergies and intolerances communicated in the pre-departure form will be managed on site without problems
