Please note : The bivouac is only possible with a reservation and sending of passports 2 weeks before the activity, as required by the competent authorities of Essaouira.

The quad trip lasts 2 days and 2 nights (one in a bivouac and one in a hotel), with a party and all meals included, from Friday morning to Sunday morning.

Quad biking in Morocco: 2 days of thrills amid spectacular landscapes and culinary delights

Let yourself be guided by the Ranch de Diabat in Essaouira which, with its many years of experience, will know how to enhance a beautiful quad ride in the desert .

You can enjoy this quad bike experience at your own pace, respecting the flora and fauna, reaching breathtaking panoramic views and wild beaches where you are the only protagonists.

Quad biking and Berber culture: Moroccan flavors and nights in a bivouac

Let our chef pamper you every day with Moroccan specialties, always attentive to your tastes and any food intolerances you may have, as indicated when you register.

Friday night at the Moroccan Bivouac will be a unique experience, with Berber tents with mattresses and rugs on the floor, and a kitchen tent. The evening bonfire, bongo music, and impromptu dancing will make the atmosphere unforgettable.

Saturday night party in Essaouira's medina: Gnawa music and fire shows

Let yourself be amazed by the Saturday night party, which, like in a movie, will transport you to a stylish, relaxed, and energetic setting. Not only will you be entertained by the excellent music typical of Essaouira: Gnawa music, but also by talented fire-eaters who will leave you speechless.

Finally, indulge in the high-quality organic menu served during the shows—a true delight, suitable for adults and children alike. Your final night will be spent in a beautiful Riad near the Ranch de Diabat, before we bid farewell to this fantastic weekend.

Plan

Shuttle and arrival at the Ranch

Our free shuttle is available, departing from one of the following pick-up points: Place Moulay Hassan, Bab Marrakech, or Bab Doukkala. You can also choose another pick-up point in the city so our driver can pick you up and drop you off at the end of your activity.

For those with a car, it will be easy to reach the Ranch de Diabat, located just 3 km from the city center. You will be sent a map and GPS location by email, and you can park with complete peace of mind in the Ranch's private parking lot.

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Reception, you'll be greeted by our staff who will show you the safety instructions for the quads. You can then fill out the rental contract and meet your instructor, who will help you choose the right helmet size.

Recommended attire: long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a light jacket to protect you from the wind. Your guide will give you a short test ride to reassure you before departure and to make you feel comfortable. Afterward, you'll be ready to set off on this wonderful quad bike excursion. Your luggage will follow you on the truck, so remember to bring a small backpack with the essentials for the day: sunscreen, sunglasses, a scarf, and a windproof jacket.

You'll cruise along the Qsob River, where you can photograph the birds that inhabit it—some seasonal migrants, others year-round residents. You'll arrive at the Castle of Sultan Moulay Ben Abdallah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where your guide will provide you with several interesting historical explanations.

Once you reach the immense 27-kilometer beach, you can approach the ruins of the Portuguese Castle, built by the Phoenicians to spot ships arriving from the sea. From here, you can also see Mogador Island, with its still-intact prison and the mosque's minaret, where the Eleonora's falcon breeds and calls home. You'll encounter the Omar dunes, and not far away, a small seasonal fishing village, as well as special freshwater springs that flow from the sand at low tide—a true natural wonder.

You'll arrive at the enormous dunes of Cap Sim, with its white lighthouse guiding ships toward the port of Essaouira, and the boundless ocean in front of you. You'll have fun ascending and descending, always paying close attention to following the trail of your guide, who knows the route perfectly. You'll arrive at an exceptional panoramic point, called the Grotto, where a small natural shelter has been adapted to accommodate those who wish to stop for a Moroccan mint tea, all with a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Not far from the village of Ouessen, a stunning vantage point overlooking the bay of Sidi Kaouky, you'll slowly descend through a patch of vegetation to the spot where you can enjoy your lunch. Our staff will organize the meal for a private lunch break on the beach. The menu can be seafood or meat, depending on the season, and will also be tailored to accommodate any food allergies or preferences of the participants.

After lunch, you'll ride a quad through the village of Sidi Kaouky, known for its water sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, and surfing. From there, you'll cross a wild beach and arrive at your designated spot for the night, with a sea view and an unforgettable sunset.

Arrival at the bivouac is scheduled for 4 pm and, depending on the season, you'll have time to relax on the beach, swim (be careful of ocean currents), and then return to the bivouac located on the cliff, a two-minute walk from the beach, for a warm shower and settling into your Berber tent, which the staff has prepared for you, complete with rugs, floor mats, pillows, and blankets.

The chef will be freshly preparing dinner, featuring traditional Moroccan cuisine, taking into account any food allergies or special preferences, as communicated in advance. Once dinner is served, a bonfire and bongos will enliven the evening, while gazing at the starry or lunar sky. With no light sources nearby, it will be even more magical.

Day 2

In the morning, a hearty breakfast awaits, before setting off for a second day of incredible excitement. After completing our preparations and strapping our backpacks for this final, wonderful day onto the quad (you'll find your luggage transported by truck at Ranch de Diabat), we set off again, heading south.

You'll travel along the beautiful, long, and pristine southern beach of Sidi Kaouky, surrounded by dunes on the left and high ocean waves on the right. Low shrubs can be glimpsed behind the dunes. You'll then reach the small waterfalls of Sidi Mbarek, where a photo stop is a must. Depending on the season, the waterfalls can have more or less water, flowing down to the ocean estuary in a very picturesque mini-valley. It's surrounded by a mountain that opens out into a V-shape over the stream, with gray rocks and small shrubs lining the entire valley.

The walk from the waterfalls to the estuary is short but very picturesque. At one point, you'll also encounter a wall completely covered in sand, where children often play and roll around. It's common to encounter shepherds with their sheep, or children who live nearby. Facing the waterfalls, if you look up, you can walk to the White Marabou, a sacred place where people would anciently pray, bringing gifts in the hope of their prayers coming true.

On the way back, you'll ride your quads up the hill to a cliff that will lead you into a forest of argan trees, making the region one of the most famous for its argan oil production. You'll return to the cliffs with a breathtaking view of the ocean from above, and countless deserted mini-beaches where you'll want to camp and stay. You'll arrive at Iftane Beach, small and enchanting: it's a vision, with a couple of fishermen's houses nestled in the rocks of the mountain that drops sheer to the shore, and a few fishermen casting their nets or launching their boats for the day's catch.

A short, relaxing stop for lunch surrounded by wild, unspoiled nature, and perhaps a swim, keeping an eye on the ocean currents. Lunch will be prepared by our chefs in the morning and you'll carry it in the quads' large saddlebags. Your guide will set up a shelter, arrange the tablecloth, and set the table. The menu is always varied and traditional, taking into account your tastes and any food allergies, which you can inform us of when booking.

You'll climb back onto your quads to ascend the steep cliff and greet this breathtaking panorama. You'll cross the argan forest again to reach the trail that will lead you to the Sidi Mbarek souk, and from there to Sidi Kaouky and Ouessen. Heading north again, you'll cross the wind farm to the large dunes of Cap Sim. Once across, you'll enter the eucalyptus forest via a small dirt track that will take you past the fishing village and onto Essaouira South Beach.

You'll pass by the Sultan's Palace, before returning to the Ranch de Diabat, where you'll leave your quads to rest on the terrace and enjoy a well-deserved cup of tea, dried fruit, and popcorn. You can wash up and get settled in the Ranch's restrooms, and rest on the terrace and on the dam lawn next to the horse stables, awaiting the evening's surprise.

Private dinner with Gnawa music and jugglers

You will have the entire Ranch at your disposal, in the courtyard in front of the horse stables, for this wonderful private party with entertainment and excellent organic cuisine.

The decorations, the red carpets, the poufs, the low copper and wood tables, the candelabras, the straw bales, the soft lighting, the braziers with burning wood and a beautiful table set just for you exclusively.

During the evening, fire-breathing groups will alternate with acrobatics and magic games with fire and the group of Gnawa musicians, who will take you on an exploration of ancestral and emotional music, with their silver castanets, pom-pom hats, and dancing acrobatics.
