An experience suitable for everyone, children and adults, families and groups of friends, easy and interesting.
Starting from the Ranch with your guide, you can admire the surrounding dunes and the beach, the seagulls flying just above the water playing among themselves, take unforgettable photos as the sun sets over the ocean in front of you, and return full of beautiful memories riding these gentle animals with long legs and even longer eyelashes to withstand desert storms.
The exact time of the walk and the meeting will be carefully communicated by the reception based on the actual sunset time, which varies day by day and season by season.
We guarantee the sunset view from a privileged spot to observe the sun well, and you will return to the Ranch immediately afterward to avoid darkness.
We are not responsible for adverse weather conditions, which do not constitute grounds for cancellation or complaint. (We do everything to satisfy you but we do not yet have superpowers over the weather )
Program
If you have a vehicle, it will be easy to reach the Ranch de Diabat, located just 3 km from the city center; a map and GPS point will be sent to you by email, and you can park safely in the Ranch’s private parking lot.
Upon arrival at Reception, you will be welcomed by our staff who will introduce your guide.
This walk is suitable for adults and even small children, who can ride on the same dromedary as their parents at a discounted rate.
Your guide will explain how to mount the dromedaries, already seated and ready to take you on the walk; helping you with the footrest step, you can easily climb onto the comfortable saddle, designed and made by the Ranch de Diabat for maximum comfort during the walk.
Once mounted on the dromedary, you will head in a caravan towards the beach, following the banks of the Qassob river.
You will continue towards the dunes and the beautiful beach, where you can experience the thrill of walking in the ocean water atop these majestic animals with long, dynamic legs.
You can admire the Portuguese Castle and see up close the Island of Mogador with its mosque and ancient prison.
Remember that the dromedary is a calm animal, the walk takes place in a caravan, one behind the other, the saddles are comfortable, wearing a protective helmet is not necessary, the route touches interesting historical and natural points and is designed to admire the landscape and nature, learn about history and some interesting anecdotes, and get in touch with a way of training this gentle animal naturally and ethologically.

- Experience Level: no experience is necessary to take part in this excursion
- Clothing: The recommended clothing for this excursion is casual; shorts and flip-flops are also possible; in case of wind, it is advisable to wear a light jacket to protect against the wind and a scarf, as well as sunglasses.

Camel rental, guides, transportation to and from the city of Essaouira.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
All activities must be paid in advance in order to be confirmed.
PAYMENT METHODS:
- Bank transfer to a Moroccan bank (sending proof of payment by email at least 7 days before the activity is mandatory)
- International credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express – via PayPal or Factobox)
ON-SITE PAYMENT:
For on-site bookings, for which availability cannot be guaranteed without advance payment, it is possible to pay in cash (Moroccan dirhams).
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Any interruption of the activity requested by the client for any reason requires dedicated assistance, which involves an additional cost. This cost will be charged on site, communicated at the time, and depends on the location where the client interrupts the activity.
The client agrees to pay this cost.
Please note: weather conditions or illness are not covered by the organizer but by the client’s own travel insurance.
In the event of cancellation by the client, the following penalties will apply:
- More than 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 29 and 10 days before arrival: 60% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 9 and 3 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Less than 48 hours before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be retained
CHILDREN CONDITIONS:
- 0–4 years old: free of charge (sharing the camel with parents, maximum one child with one adult)
- 5–8 years old: half price if sharing the camel (maximum one child with one adult), and full price if riding alone
- From 9 years old: full price whether riding alone or sharing the camel
NB: each camel may carry a maximum of two people, even in the case of a baby, for safety reasons. If in a family of two adults there are three children, the oldest child will ride a camel alone or with the guide, paying the corresponding fee.
