2h Quad Tour on the Great Dunes

Using our free shuttle service, you can reach Ranch de Diabat, departing from one of the pickup points: Piazza Moulay Hassan, Bab Marrakech, Bab Doukkala, or you can designate another pickup point within the city so that our driver can pick you up and bring you back at the end of the activity.

For those with their own transport, it will be easy to reach Ranch de Diabat, located just 3 km from the city center; a map and GPS coordinates will be sent to you by email, and you can park safely in the Ranch's private parking lot.

Upon arrival at Reception, you will be welcomed by our staff who will explain the safety instructions regarding the quads, and you will be able to complete the rental contract and meet your instructor, who will help you choose a helmet in your size.

Before departure, your guide will conduct a brief driving test to reassure you and make you feel comfortable; after this, you will be ready to start this beautiful quad excursion.

Leaving Ranch de Diabat, you will find yourself on a dirt road running alongside the Qsob River, home to various species of both migratory and resident birds. Turning off the engines, you can observe and photograph them from behind some bushes.

Continuing on the same road, you will reach the Ocean in just a few minutes; Ranch de Diabat is indeed very close to the sea and is an ideal starting point for any type of excursion.

You will head south along the very long beach, where on your left you can see the first dunes, behind them the forest of mimosa and eucalyptus, and on your right the vast Atlantic Ocean with its waves driven by the steady trade winds.

You will arrive at the large dunes called Omar, and shortly after at a fishing village where seasonal fishermen live in small wooden huts facing the sea: it is not uncommon to be invited for tea, as the people here are truly kind and welcoming.

Not far away are the incredible freshwater springs that emerge from the beach, where at low tide semi-wild animals come to drink.

You will reach the highest point of this excursion, the large dunes of Cap Sim, which look like a vast expanse of sandy waves constantly moving thanks to the Essaouira wind.

The magic and positive energy emanating from this place are tangible; behind you stands the beautiful Cap Sim lighthouse guiding ships offshore towards the port of Essaouira, and in front of you the Atlantic Ocean.

Two seas run alongside each other, one made of towering dunes and the other of waves—a true magic.

Before returning, two more important stops on this beautiful route: on the beach, you can admire the ruins of the Portuguese Castle built by the Phoenicians to spot approaching ships, and the island of Mogador with the remains of the prison and the mosque minaret where, now a protected area, the Eleonora's falcon breeds.
