3-day tour of Morocco: discovering the desert and the medina of Essaouira!
Choosing what to do and what to see in Morocco when you have only a few days available it is certainly not easy.
But with this 3-day tour, you'll have an unforgettable experience. You can choose to stay at the beautiful and traditional Riad Zahra, the welcoming Vent des Dunes, or the Riad Le Khan Mogador. Three different locations that boast a hospitality worthy of this country.
Once we have freshened up in the rooms, we will begin our wonderful tour of Morocco with a suggestive horseback ride at sunset along the beach.

The next day is dedicated to the thrill of a quad tour in the desert A unique and adrenaline-filled experience awaits you across its vast dunes. To complete your Essaouira tour, we invite you to take a morning camel ride, the perfect opportunity to explore the area's historical and natural sites and observe migratory birds stopping along the Kassob River. This camel ride will offer you a unique glimpse into Morocco's wildlife and distinctive landscapes.
To round off your Moroccan holiday in style, we've prepared a delicious dinner inspired by the "bel paese" (beautiful country) at a traditional 100% Italian restaurant located in the medina of Essaouira. Chef Maurizio, a true Italian, from Taverna Bolognese, awaits you!
Plan
Day 1: Arrival
You'll begin your weekend by arriving in Essaouira and your first stop will be Riad Zahra, Vent Des Dunes, or Riad Le Khan Mogador, where you'll be warmly welcomed. Two and a half hours before sunset, meet at the Ranch (located 5 minutes from the Riad) for the first of these exciting experiences: today, you'll go horseback riding on the beach at sunset!
After a quick preparation, we're off for a two-hour horseback ride on the beach. Beginners will spend half an hour in the saddle at the riding stables before heading out. It'll be a breathtaking ride, packed with souvenir photos.
Day 2: Discovering Essaouira
A hearty breakfast to start this day, dedicated to visiting Essaouira, its medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fish market at the port with boats arriving from the ocean followed by seagulls, and a seafood lunch in the main square where several stalls offer the day's catch at affordable prices.
A visit to the Skala and its bastions, adorned with ancient Portuguese cannons, with a superb view of the ocean. And finally, wander through the alleys of Essaouira's medina to find yourself sipping tea at Mandala, a small café-restaurant offering organic delicacies and homemade cakes daily. But the day isn't over, and the excitement continues!
Two and a half hours before sunset, meet at the Ranch for another adventure that will take you to the magnificent dunes of Cap Sim, today with quads. After briefings and preparations, we set off through the eucalyptus forest to reach the exhilarating ups and downs of the towering dunes, which take on magnificent colors as the sun sets.
This evening, you'll be treated to an unmissable dinner, all about "Made in Italy." You'll be guests at Taverna Bolognese, hosted by Maurizio, who moved from Italy to Essaouira and will delight you with his delicacies. On the menu: Lasagna Bolognese and Tiramisu, a children's menu suitable for all ages, and dishes adapted to meet the needs of vegetarians and those with food allergies.
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast, we're ready for today's final exciting experience, a camel ride. Departing from the Ranch, we'll follow the banks of the Kassob River, hiding behind bushes to observe and capture photographs of the migratory birds that Mustapha will explain to us. But the explanations don't end there; along the way, we'll encounter various medicinal plants, whose benefits we can observe and learn about, and which our dear Mustapha will share with us.
To conclude this wonderful adventure, we'll visit several historical and cultural sites, World Heritage Sites protected by UNESCO, whose history will be explained to you. Mustapha will also share his ethological training of our camels, which respond to voice commands and gestures and are well-handled and meekly trained.
We recommend lunch at the nearby Ocean Vagabond before hitting the road again and heading home, full of wonderful experiences and souvenir photos.

Information for families with children
This program is designed not only for adults but also and above all adapted to families with children of all ages.
Prices are adapted to the age groups 0-4 years and 5-8 years.
The horseback ride is suitable for all ages and is conducted with maximum safety, accompanied by additional staff. The quad bike excursion is also tailored to the ages of the participants and in full compliance with safety regulations.
The dromedary ride and the historical-faunal explanations are also suitable for children.
Essaouira is a city suitable for families with small children, strollers are accessible everywhere and the places recommended in this program are "baby friendly"

Activity can be booked starting from one person, up to a maximum of 10 people.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
All activities must be paid in advance in order to be confirmed.
PAYMENT METHODS:
- Bank transfer to a Moroccan bank (sending proof of payment by email at least 7 days before the activity is mandatory)
- International credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express – via Stripe)
ON-SITE PAYMENT:
For on-site bookings, for which availability cannot be guaranteed without advance payment, it is possible to pay in cash (Moroccan dirhams).
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Any interruption of the activity requested by the client for any reason requires dedicated assistance, which involves an additional cost. This cost will be charged on site, communicated at the time, and depends on the location where the client interrupts the activity.
The client agrees to pay this cost.
Please note: weather conditions or illness are not covered by the organizer but by the client’s own travel insurance.
In the event of cancellation by the client, the following penalties will apply:
- More than 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 29 and 10 days before arrival: 60% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 9 and 3 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Less than 48 hours before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be retained
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – HORSE:
Young children also pay the full price, as they will ride on a horse led by a dedicated instructor. Safety vests and riding helmets will be provided.
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden for a child to ride on the same horse as an adult. Only the instructor may, if necessary, take a small child on the saddle; however, preferably, the instructor will accompany the child on foot, staying alongside them.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – QUAD:
Children from 0 to 4 years old are free of charge and share the quad with a responsible adult.
Children between 5 and 8 years old pay half price and share the quad with a responsible adult.
Children between 9 and 15 years old pay the full price and share the quad with a responsible adult.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – CAMEL:
0–4 years old: free of charge (sharing the camel with parents).
5–8 years old: half price if sharing the camel, full price if riding alone.
From 9 years old: full price whether riding alone or sharing the camel.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – HOTEL:
0–4 years old: free of charge with extra bed.
5–8 years old: 1/3 of the room cost with extra bed.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – RESTAURANT:
0–4 years old: free of charge, eat with parents.
5–8 years old: dedicated children’s menu at half price.
