A unique opportunity to spend a day in close contact with gentle and intelligent animals and their trainer.
You will be able to observe how they are trained and understand the ancestral essence of a breed that has crossed deserts for thousands of kilometers, tireless and always by their owner's side. The saddle we have patented offers absolute comfort to sit comfortably and, at the same time, enjoy a unique landscape.
Leaving Ranch de Diabat, you will embark on a route immersed in unspoiled nature, with enchanting landscapes.
The forest of mimosa and eucalyptus, the large dunes majestically overlooking the ocean, the freshwater springs, the fishing village, the towering dunes of Cap Sim: just some of the beauties you will encounter along your journey.
An excellent picnic to enjoy during the route, with a break immersed in nature.
You will be able to admire Mogador Island, the Portuguese Castle, and the Black Sultan's Palace.
The dromedary is a calm animal accessible to everyone and will allow you to have a pleasant time with family or friends.
Program
For those with their own transport, reaching Ranch de Diabat is easy, located just 3 km from the city center. A map and GPS coordinates will be sent by email, and you can park safely in the Ranch's private parking lot.
Upon arrival at Reception, you will be welcomed by our staff who will introduce your guide.
This walk is suitable for adults and even small children, who can ride on the same dromedary as their parents at a discounted rate.
Your guide will explain how to mount the dromedaries, already seated and ready to take you on the walk; with the help of the footrest step, you can easily climb onto the comfortable saddle, designed and made by Ranch de Diabat for maximum comfort during the ride.
Once mounted on the dromedary, you will head in a caravan towards the beautiful and lush forest of mimosa and eucalyptus, where you can encounter many land turtles and collect berries and eucalyptus leaves to make a decoction and balsamic vapors to use in case of a cold.
The terrain in this forest is sandy and full of ups and downs, sometimes leading you into small hollows and other times onto hills that overlook the enchanting view, a true paradise for the eyes.
You will continue towards the dunes and the beautiful beach, where you can experience the thrill of walking in the ocean water atop these majestic animals with long, dynamic legs.
On the shore at low tide, you will find freshwater springs where semi-wild animals come to drink daily and where your dromedary friends can quench their thirst.
Nearby, you will notice wooden huts that serve as seasonal homes for local fishermen, who often offer fresh fish at a reasonable price, and if you wish, you can buy it and grill it in the evening.
To complete the beautiful day, a picnic lunch will be carried in saddlebags, consisting of: mixed salad, chicken skewers to cook at lunchtime, seasonal fruit, bread, water, soft drinks, and tea prepared on the spot over a wood fire.
The vegetarian menu includes: mixed salad, zaalouk (a Moroccan eggplant appetizer), zucchini balls, bread, water, soft drinks, and tea prepared on the spot over a wood fire.
Heading south, you will reach an enchanted sea of huge sandy dunes, with a distant lighthouse called Cap Sim. A place with great natural energy, where you can admire large sandy dunes and a beautiful forest, and on the opposite side, the ocean as far as the eye can see.
Continuing north, you can admire the Portuguese Castle and see Mogador Island up close with its mosque and ancient prison, and from here, following the banks of the Qassob River, you will visit the Palace of Sultan Moulay Abdallah, which was the setting for several films and is now part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Prepare Yourself Well
- Experience Level: no experience is required to take part in this excursion
- Clothing: The recommended clothing for this excursion is casual; shorts and flip-flops are also possible. In case of wind, it is advisable to wear a light jacket to protect against the wind and a scarf, as well as sunglasses.

BOOKING CONDITIONS:
All activities must be paid in advance in order to be confirmed.
PAYMENT METHODS:
- Bank transfer to a Moroccan bank (sending proof of payment by email at least 7 days before the activity is mandatory)
- International credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express – via PayPal or Factobox)
ON-SITE PAYMENT:
For on-site bookings, for which availability cannot be guaranteed without advance payment, it is possible to pay in cash (Moroccan dirhams).
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Any interruption of the activity requested by the client for any reason requires dedicated assistance, which involves an additional cost. This cost will be charged on site, communicated at the time, and depends on the location where the client interrupts the activity.
The client agrees to pay this cost.
Please note: weather conditions or illness are not covered by the organizer but by the client’s own travel insurance.
In the event of cancellation by the client, the following penalties will apply:
- More than 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 29 and 10 days before arrival: 60% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 9 and 3 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Less than 48 hours before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be retained
CHILDREN CONDITIONS:
- Children from 0 to 4 years old are free of charge (sharing the camel with their parents, maximum one child with one adult)
- Children from 5 to 8 years old: half price if sharing the camel (maximum one child with one adult), full price if riding alone
- From 9 years old: full price whether riding alone or sharing the camel
NB: each camel may carry a maximum of two people, including babies, for safety reasons. If a family of two adults has three children, the oldest child will ride on a camel alone or with the guide, paying the corresponding fee.
