Weekend in Essaouira between dune quad rides and horseback rides on the beach
A 2-day holiday package dedicated to those who want to discover Essaouira and its most exciting activities.
A peaceful night in a typical riad, located near the seafront and just a few steps from the Medina.
You will experience the thrill of riding up and down the high dunes of the coast on a quad at sunset. A wonderful horseback ride on the beach with a riding lesson to best guide your Berber Arabian horse.
And how could you miss an Italian dinner in the historic center, at a 100% Italian venue! La Taverna Bolognese.
Program
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival in Essaouira and accommodation at Riad Zahra or Riad Le Khan Mogador, where the hospitality is always impeccable.
Two and a half hours before sunset, meet at the Ranch (located 5 minutes from the Riad) for the first exciting quad adventure on the high dunes of Cap Sim at sunset and along the beautiful deserted beach.
To end this day perfectly, an unmissable dinner celebrating "Made in Italy": you will be guests at Maurizio’s La Taverna Bolognese, who came from Italy to live in Essaouira and will delight you with his delicacies. On the menu: Bolognese Lasagna and Tiramisu. For children, a menu suitable for all ages and for vegetarians or those with food allergies, dishes adapted to their needs.
Day 2: Visit to Essaouira and horseback ride on the beach
After breakfast, Essaouira deserves a visit, with a Medina listed as a UNESCO heritage site that has much to tell, and the port where fishing boats arrive with the day’s catch. A walk to the Skala offers an incredible view from the bastions over the ocean.
Lunch based on fish in the main square where small restaurants prepare freshly grilled fish on the spot. It’s time to meet at the Ranch for a beautiful horseback ride on the beach.
A brief preparation and then two hours on horseback along the beach; for beginners, a half-hour riding lesson in the riding arena before the outing. It will be a breathtaking ride full of memorable photos. It’s time to leave, mind and heart full of wonderful experiences.

- 1 overnight stay at Riad Zahra or Riad Le Khan Mogador with breakfast, in a standard room all taxes included
- two-hour sunset quad excursion on the large dunes
- dinner at the Italian restaurant La Taverna Bolognese with a fixed menu of first course and dessert and water (menu adaptable for children, vegetarians, or special needs)
- two-hour horseback ride with riding lesson for beginners and children

For Families with Children
Information for families
This program has been designed not only for adults but especially adapted for families with children of all ages.
Costs are adjusted for the age groups 0-4 years and 5-8 years.
The horseback ride is suitable for all ages and is managed with maximum safety with additional accompanying staff; the quad excursion is also adjusted according to the participants’ ages and in full compliance with safety rules.
Essaouira is a city suitable for families with young children, strollers are accessible everywhere, and the recommended places in this program are "baby friendly".

- Activity can be booked starting from one person, with a maximum of 10 people.
- Private activity available with payment of a supplement.
BOOKING CONDITIONS:
All activities must be paid in advance in order to be confirmed.
PAYMENT METHODS:
- Bank transfer to a Moroccan bank (sending proof of payment by email at least 7 days before the activity is mandatory)
- International credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express – via Stripe)
ON-SITE PAYMENT:
For on-site bookings, for which availability cannot be guaranteed without advance payment, it is possible to pay in cash (Moroccan dirhams).
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Any interruption of the activity requested by the client for any reason requires dedicated assistance, which involves an additional cost. This cost will be charged on site, communicated at the time, and depends on the location where the client interrupts the activity.
The client agrees to pay this cost.
Please note: weather conditions or illness are not covered by the organizer but by the client’s own travel insurance.
In the event of cancellation by the client, the following penalties will apply:
- More than 30 days before arrival: 30% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 29 and 10 days before arrival: 60% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Between 9 and 3 days before arrival: 75% of the total booking amount will be retained
- Less than 48 hours before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount will be retained
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – HORSE:
Young children also pay the full price, as they will ride on a horse led by a dedicated instructor. Safety vests and riding helmets will be provided.
For safety reasons, it is strictly forbidden for a child to ride on the same horse as an adult. Only the instructor may, if necessary, take a small child on the saddle; however, preferably, the instructor will accompany the child on foot, staying alongside them.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – QUAD:
Children from 0 to 4 years old are free of charge and share the quad with a responsible adult.
Children between 5 and 8 years old pay half price and share the quad with a responsible adult.
Children between 9 and 15 years old pay the full price and share the quad with a responsible adult.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – HOTEL:
0–4 years old: free of charge with extra bed.
5–8 years old: one third of the room cost with extra bed.
CHILDREN CONDITIONS – RESTAURANT:
0–4 years old: free of charge, eat with parents.
5–8 years old: dedicated children’s menu at half price.
