Unique opportunity to experience the magical moment of SUNSET in Essaouira on horseback, on the beach.
The Ranch de Diabat is located in the village of Diabat, and has exclusive access to the south beach, surrounded by dunes, a forest of eucalyptus trees and looking west, the Atlantic Ocean with its waves. The Portugueis ruined castle, lapped by the waters at high tide, the Island of Mogador which houses an ancient prison with the minaret of the mosque visible from afar.
And with this landscape, riding along this beach, seeing the sun set, a unique magic.
Depending on the seasons, the sky takes on different colours, summer sunsets predominantly have a clear sky with a constant wind blowing from the north, while autumn skies are dotted with clouds that reflect the light in different ways every day, almost forming new paintings.
It's difficult to choose which is the most beautiful, but we can invite you to send us your photos and try to choose together.
The exact time of the trip and the appointment will be carefully communicated by the reception based on the actual sunset time, which varies from day to day and from season to season.
We guarantee the view of the sunset on the beach, we will return to the Ranch immediately afterwards to avoid incurring in the dark.
We are not responsible for adverse weather conditions which do not constitute a reason for cancellation or complaint. (we do everything to satisfy you but we don't have superpowers over the weather yet )
Program
Otherwise, if motorized, it will be easy to reach the Ranch, 3 km from the city center. When booking the horseback riding package with overnight stay you will be sent the map and the GPS point by e-mail. You can park in complete tranquility in the Ranch's private car park.
Upon your arrival at the Reception, you will be greeted by our staff who will show you the equestrian safety instructions, and you can fill out the rental contract and get to know your instructor who will help you choose the cap of your size.
The recommended clothing is long trousers and closed shoes, and the rider's weight must not exceed 90kg to preserve the health of our Berber Arabian horses.
You will leave the equestrian center on horseback to head towards the beach, along the banks of the Kassob River, visit the Sultan Moulay Abdallah Palace, continue towards the dunes and the beautiful beach, where you can gallop. You can admire the Portuguese Castle and see Mogador Island up close with its mosque and ancient prison.

- Equestrian level: To take part in this excursion it is not necessary to have an equestrian level, beginners are also accepted, but in their case we do not guarantee the possibility of trotting and galloping, which will be examined case by case
- Clothing: To participate in this horseback riding excursion, please wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes.
